Somerset, PA Certified Athletic Trainer Job Description

At the Rehabilitation and Wellness Center, the athletic trainer performs field evaluations and treatment of the injured athlete in an organized athletic setting, prescribes exercise routines for Wellness members and athletes and provides supportive assistance to Rehabilitation patients.


Somerset, PA Certified Athletic Trainer Job Training and Education

As the successful job candidate, you will have:
  1. Required
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in athletic training.
  • Licensure or eligible to be licensed in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • National certification as an athletic trainer.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Compliance with the requirements of the Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) which includes FBI fingerprinting (in accordance with Act 114), PA Child Abuse history clearance (in accordance with Act 151), PA Criminal History clearance (in accordance with Act 34) and Certification as Mandated Reporter (in accordance with Act 126).
  • Compliance with any additional requirements of the Child Protective Services Law (CPSL) as required by any school district that coverage is provided at which may include the Sexual Misconduct Abuse Disclosure Release (in accordance with Act 168) or the Arrest / Conviction Report and Certification form (in accordance with Act 24, Act 82).

Thoracic ICU RN Job Description


As an Intermountain Thoracic RN, you will help patients who have been diagnosed with coronary heart disease or suffered recent heart attacks. You will also care for patients who are preparing for/recovering from heart surgery. You'll work together with the treatment team and patients to plan a course of action to keep their cardiovascular systems healthy after surgery or treatment. You will administer various treatments/medications and perform/monitor diagnostic testing. You will meet with patients and their families, helping them understand their specific heart conditions and educating them on relevant health problems and procedures.

You are a skilled and adept Thoracic ICU RN, who finds caring for some of the most complex cardiac patients in the world both challenging and rewarding. That’s why you belong here.

Thoracic ICU RN Job Qualifications


The qualified Thoracic ICU RN will have:
  • Three to five years’ cardiothoracic critical care experience
  • Valid RN licensure in current state of practice
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS)
  • Unit specific certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, etc.)
  • Basic computer skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
